This book teaches the rider all about the scales of training. It is aimed at beginners as well as the more advanced student. Susan McBane outlines that the scales of training arent just for top dressage riders but should be used by all riders. She notes that even a happy hacker must be well trained in order to be safe whilst out riding. Susan starts by introducing the scales of training and then by using detailed descriptions, colour photographs and exercises demonstrates how exactly to achieve each step. There is also a trouble shooting section where you are able to go backwards and solve the problem before continuing.
